Out Boulder County proudly works with Community Shares to facilitate workplace giving. THE SARA THOMPSON MAGICAL MERMAID SCHOLARSHIP
Sara Thompson was a fabulous high femme, warrior for the community, and fierce friend. This scholarship is to financially support LGBTQ+ community members to continue efforts to create positive change in their own lives or the lives of others. Sara believed in the power of all people to create opportunities from difficulties, and often lent her strength to those who needed it most. As of 2024, Longmont Community Foundation is managing the Magical Mermaid Scholarship on behalf of Out Boulder County.
